Greenhous Group Charity Golf Day Raises Over £8,000 for Friends of Severndale

Taking place at Hawkstone Park Golf Club earlier this month, the event was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and raise money for a key site in the local community. The event was attended by Greenhous employees, customers and friends, with over 60 people in attendance on the day.

Greenhous Group are proud to have been working with Severndale Specialist Academy over the past year, inviting students from the Academy for dedicated work experience placements across the business. As the Group’s partnership with Severndale continues into 2027, fundraising for the Friends of Severndale charity is a natural extension of this ongoing relationship.  

Friends of Severndale is registered charity run by a group of parents, carers, staff and friends who work to raise funds and to organise and facilitate events, projects and developments in support of the Academy’s students and families. Their valuable work means that additional purchases and improvements to the Academy’s services can be made, that otherwise wouldn’t be possible. Past donations have meant that the Academy have been able to obtain a wheelchair swing and a school minibus, as well as facilitating a whole-school trip to Chester Zoo. By raising an incredible £8,000 at the charity golf day, Greenhous Group hope these funds will be able to support the purchase of additional necessities and provide access to greater external learning opportunities.

The day was a huge success, and a perfect opportunity for some friendly competition in support of a great cause. Greenhous wish to extend sincere thanks to all customers, partners and friends who joined us on the day and who so generously donated in support of Friends of Severndale.
